General Rules
- The CGPC strictly enforces ONE STUDENT - ONE JOB OFFER policy. This policy ensures fairness and equal opportunities for all students in the placement process.
- To be eligible for placements, students must meet the following criteria:
- A minimum of 60% aggregate in the NCHM curriculum up to the second year.
- All NCHM exams should be cleared till 2nd year.
- Attendance of all eligible students should be 75% and above in both theory and practical.
Campus placement is a facility provided for the bonafide and eligible students only.

- Before applying for placements, students are advised to:
- Read announcements carefully
- Visit company websites to understand their profiles
- Apply only if genuinely interested
Be prepared to accept the offer without hesitation, if selected. Refrain from applying in case you are not sure that you will accept the company's offer. Humble request to be considerate for your own batchmate's. Please don't take away their opportunity.
- To ensure professionalism and integrity in the placement process:
- Resume Format: All students are required to use a professional resume format
- Genuine Information: All details in the resume must be accurate and truthful.
- Consequences of Misrepresentation: Students found violating this rule will be disqualified from placements for the rest of the academic year.
This maintains the credibility and reputation of the institute and its students. All the details given in the resume will be verified by the class counselors with supporting documents.
- Commitment to Selection Process, Students who apply and are shortlisted in the initial selection procedure must:
- Attend all subsequent selection rounds, including written tests, GDs, interviews, etc.
- Not withdraw or spoil the selection process, as it reflects on IHM Hamirpur's professional image.
- Students are not permitted to contact companies directly; doing so will be considered a breach of placement guidelines.
Students violating this condition will not be allowed to participate in further placement activities.
- Students can withdraw their names from a placement process by informing the Interview coordinator, after initially applying.
- After getting a job offer, if any student decides to withdraw his/her acceptance any time till the conclusion of the academic session, (Not encouraged though) he/she must inform the company with a justifiable reason immediately through an email and keep the CGPC in the loop.
- Students interested in off-campus placements only are required to:
- Inform the institute in writing by 30th September, 2025
- Keep CGPC in CC while applying to companies via email or other modes.
This ensures transparency and coordination with the institute.
- The institute is not responsible for changes in company policy after campus placements and will not intervene in location allocation decisions made by the company post-selection. Students should be aware of these factors when participating in placements.
The institute does not interfere with company policies, allowing companies to conduct their selection processes as per their own guidelines and requirements.
- Students are expected to uphold Honesty, Integrity and Compliance with placement guidelines and conditions. This ensures a smooth and fair placement process for all participants.
Breach of placement guidelines will result in strict administrative action. The institute's management decision regarding such actions will be final and binding. Students are expected to adhere to the guidelines to avoid any consequences.
Dress Code for Company Interactions
When interacting with companies, students are expected to:
Dress Professionally
- Boys:
- Suit with formal white shirt and Tie, Oxford leather shoes, Handkerchief, Mild deodorant.
- Girls:
- Suit with formal white shirt and Tie OR Formal-colored saree, Light makeup and accessories, Handkerchief, Mild perfume.
This dress code ensures a professional image and respect for the companies visiting the campus.
Punctuality, Discipline and Ethics
- Students are expected to be on time for: Presentations, Aptitude Tests, Group Discussions (GD), Interviews etc. Latecomers will not be allowed to participate in the selection process. Punctuality is crucial to ensure a smooth and fair process for all participants.
- Students must maintain discipline and exhibit ethical behavior throughout the placement process. Students are expected to continue demonstrating ethical behavior even after joining the company.
Pre-Placement/Off-Campus Offers Guidelines
- Students must inform the Career Guidance and Placement Cell (CGPC) immediately upon receiving such offers.
- Upon accepting a PPO/Off-Campus Offer, the student will be de-registered from the campus placement process.
- Students must submit their acceptance letter for PPO offers through the CGPC.
Additional Points to Note
- Be prepared for short notice PPTs/tests due to unforeseen circumstances. Keep ready:
- At least 3 sets of resumes.
- 4 copies of passport size photographs.
- Keep ready original and duplicate copies of certificates for, Curricular activities and Extracurricular activities. Ensure certificates match the details mentioned in your CV.
- Regularly check e-mails, WhatsApp group announcements from CGPC, for important updates on PPT schedules, Test schedules, Interview schedules, Venue notifications etc. Frequently check your email during placement season to stay informed.
- Requests for providing printouts & photocopies from the institute during placement processes will only be entertained as per on cost policy basis.
- Students must maintain a cordial and respectful relationship with recruiters. Treat recruiters as guests and be courteous. Avoid any conflicts or altercations, as they can create a negative impression.
- Students must have paid their semester fees to participate in campus placements. Those with pending fee payments will not be allowed to sit for campus placements and/or participate in further rounds of the placement process.
- For subject-specific questions or doubts, consult 3rd-year faculty members or other subject experts.
Note: Any disagreements or issues will be resolved by the Principal / Head of Department (HoD). Their decision will be considered final and binding.
